As Group Curriculum Manager for the Garage Gurus training program, Tim brings 29+ years of automotive industry experience to the Federal-Mogul Motorparts Garage Gurus team. He has over 15 years of experience as an automotive trainer, in addition to over 14 years working as an automotive technician within the independent automotive aftermarket. He enjoys the responsibility and the challenge of keeping the Garage Guru’s curriculum offering on the leading edge of modern vehicle repair practices. Tim’s draw to the industry is the challenge of keeping up with emerging vehicle technology and diagnostics. As a certified emissions specialist for the state of Missouri since 1999, Tim works with local repair facilities to troubleshoot and diagnose problem vehicles. He has taken what he has learned from working closely with subject matter experts, area technicians, various automotive educators, and Federal Mogul engineers to build a solid foundation for the Garage Guru technical education program.

Fun Fact:

Tim is an experienced high performance engine builder/machinist, race car fabricator and wiring expert. He has built 2000+HP twin turbocharged engines. Early in his career he built a 1500HP supercharged, methanol burning SBC engine and ran an impressive 8.0 second quarter-mile, at 174 MPH in his 3300# small tire 1966 Chevy II Nova. When he is not building High Performance he enjoys spending time with his family.
